Tokyo: The Cove, a US documentary that features images of brutality in the annual dolphin hunt in Taiji, Wakayama Prefecture, will be screened tomorrow at the 22nd Tokyo International Film Festival.
“We decided to show the film, respecting freedom of speech and taking into account the interest it has drawn worldwide,” said Tatsumi Yoda, chairman of the event.
The 93 minute film, which was shot using concealed cameras and other covert methods, shows gory scenes of the dolphin hunt.
