Tokyo: Miyuki Hatoyama, wife of Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama, was the public figure who wore jeans most stylishly this year, the Japan Jeans Association said on Monday.
Hatoyama, 66, received the “Best Jeanist” award after matching blue denim pants with a black jacket and high heels.
Hatoyama said she and the prime minister often wore jeans on dates during their younger years.
Kazuya Kamenashi of pop group KAT-TUN and singer Kumi Koda won the public vote section for the fourth straight year.
