Tokyo: The bill for special outfits worn by delegates in Tokyo’s failed campaign to host the 2016 Olympic Games came to 14 million yen, (RM 515,000) Asahi Shimbun has learned.
The outfits, worn at an International Olympic Committee session on Oct 2 in Copenhagen, consisted of matching blazers, pants, neckties and shoes for 10 presenters, including Governor Shintora Ishihara, as well as matching suits for each of the 60 delegates.
Each blazer outfit cost about 260,000 yen for men and 210,000 yen for woman, while the other suits coast 190,000 yean each.
